Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of all of our school community, I would like to welcome you to our website. We hope that you enjoy our school website and that it will provide you with all the information you will need about St Stephen’s Catholic Primary School.

The governors, staff and I are extremely proud of our school and our children. We are a one form entry school where the gospel values included in our Mission Statement, ‘Love like Jesus. Learn like Jesus. Live like Jesus’, are at the heart of all we do. At Stephen’s, we provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment which enables our children to flourish and thrive. We aim to help every child achieve their full potential so they are equipped for life in modern Britain. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, encouraging and supporting all aspects of the children’s social, emotional, physical and creative abilities as well as academic ones.

We strive to develop a positive partnership with all our parents and carers – a relationship of mutual trust and respect. In this relationship, we work closely with our parents and carers to develop the very best for all our children; to discover their talents and to help them develop to the fullest during their time at St Stephen’s.

As a school at the heart of the community, we have wonderful links with our parish. Father John is fully involved in school life and works very hard with our parish catechists to prepare our pupils throughout their sacramental preparations. Through our religious education curriculum, collective worship, masses and feast days, our pupils develop a very special relationship with God which visibly grows in love and understanding as they move through our school.

If you require and further information about our school or would like to come and visit us then please contact our school office.

Best wishes,

Mr Steven Hatton
Headteacher
